My name is Emily and I am currently in 9th grade. Academics is one of my top priorities so I would love to work with younger students in achieving their highest potential. Math is my favorite subject, but I also enjoy English and chemistry. I’m Tyler, and I’m a Senior at MIHS. I am very invested in the Band Program here, and I am in the Jazz Ensemble and Wind Ensemble. Hey hey, the names the Tiger Yang, I am on this website, what a cool little neat space I have dedicated all to me now listen and listen closely, I am a fellow earthling who has no interest in causing harm and an 100 percent interest in having fun, oh and I guess also teaching since that's what this is. I am outspoken, enthusiastic, passionate, and fun having person, my favorite thing to teach is creative writing if you can't already tell I love writing and get carried sometimes... most of the time, I am a storyteller at heart and was one ever since I was young through the guidance of my grandpa I started to develop and write my own stories for about 3+ years, I've jumped from genre to genre and have written poems, short stories, fledged out narratives, scripts, letters, and whatever you can name. I believe everyone has a story to tell and some just need some help telling it with creative writing I want to talk about creative processes, core fundamentals in a story, and how to make a story your own, creative writing doesn't only help with writing but most importantly creativity and learning how to turn that creativity into fun, you can do so many things with a creative mind like have a completely made up conversation with a muffin whether you call that creative or crazy its up to you. Creative writing will teach you, or your child to fully express themselves, share what they're thinking, have fun with what they do, and let them appreciate storytelling as a whole. Choose me or choose me not but I'm sure the classes will be a blast, I cannot wait to hear the stories you or they have to tell. Oh, and I also teach Drama (I am involved and also really love this art form), and other English related subjects if you're interested. Remember if life gives lemons then you take that lemon and you make whatever you want it with it or you can just have lemon.

Hi, I’m Dylan, a sophomore at MIHS. I code websites as a hobby, mainly in JavaScript (though I’m also proficient in Java, Swift, and C/C++). You can find most of my work through @edgeloop on Replit, as well as some of my older projects through @bloovamillion on Scratch. After taking AP Computer Science last year, I developed a habit of helping my friends with their Comp. Sci assignments, which is what drove me to become a tutor. Outside of programming, my hobbies include piano, skiing, and karate, as well as various engineering activities such as 3D printing. I also enjoy photography and drawing.

Hi! My name is Trevor, and I’m a sophomore at MIHS. My best subjects are math and English, but I’m also great at most sciences. My passions are creative writing, astronomy, video games, music, and messing with my friends, and my only weakness is my nonexistent cooking skills. I believe that the main reason students struggle in school is that they find it uninteresting, which is why I will try my best to make every session as engaging as possible. I’ve had plenty of experience helping my peers with their schoolwork, whether that means proofreading an essay, walking them through a math problem, or just giving general advice on how to improve work ethic. Above all else though, I’ll be sure to prioritize the student’s emotional wellbeing as I believe that is the most important thing.

Hello! My name is Denis Batalov, and I am a student at MIHS. I’m part of the MIHS marching band, the Jazz Ensemble and am currently the Freshman Representative for the Band Student Advisory (A group of elected band students who help the band teachers with decision-making and give insight regarding issues and possible solutions). My favorite activity is playing and teaching saxophone as well as baroque recorder, as helping others see the instruments’ beauty can encourage them to develop their musical talent. Some of my greatest achievements are getting second place in a baroque recorder competition in Amsterdam (ORDA), winning the Best Musicianship Award for 8th grade, and being accepted to the WMEA All-State Honor 2022 Rainier Band. Some other hobbies include rowing and rock climbing, as I also love the outdoors.
